Box 271 Pine Bluffs, WY 82082 Helltrain Records came into existence in 2003 when Ben and J.B. meet during a performance of J.B.’s band The Little White Pills. After much drunken discussion on getting quality music out into the world, the two decided “to hell with it” and the seed for Helltrain Records was planted. Over the next few months, the two spent numerous hours on the phone trying to figure out how to make it all work. Well on their way to getting things off the ground, in late 2003, Ben got the word he was deploying to Iraq with the Army National Guard, effectively grinding Helltrain Records to a halt. Sixteen months later Ben and J.B. set to it again and in May of 2006, “Dark Bar and A Jukebox” was released to critical acclaim. Through it all, Helltrain Records has been down a few times but after each stumble the determination of the two partners has fought back from the ashes. In September 2008, Helltrain joined forces with Crumvillain Records and work began in earnest on the Wayward Drifters second release, “Watch America Roll By.” Several moves by Ben and relentless touring by J.B. waylaid production efforts, often to the two’s mutual frustration, but in May of 2009, the album was finally released and the ‘Train continues on down the line.
